At 2:50 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, an alert was issued advising that an armed person had been reported near base housing, prompting officials to initiate the base’s lockdown procedures.

The suspect was described as a White man who was wearing a purple sweatshirt, black shorts, and was carrying the rifle.

Anyone with information or who sees a suspect moving, has been advised to call 911, who will then connect to Base Law Enforcement. Security forces on foot and in vehicles are actively out looking for the suspect, officials said.
